What a car! As I am sure anyone reading this who has driven one will agree. Not the most technical, quiet, comfortable, spacious, quick or reliable car you will ever drive, but who cares.The most important thing in life is to enjoy yourself and here is a car to do it in!

First built in 1959 and then continuously until the controversial makeover in 2000. There are a few points I would like to make:

-BMW bought Mini. This was bad for the British economy and of course for people bitter towards the Germans, but Mini had been bought before many times.

-The good old classic shape of the Mini which holds a lot of its charm was changed almost beyond recognition, but had Rover still been going as before Mini would still have changed.

-I believe, and please correct me if I am wrong, that Mini, as it was, did not conform to modern safety requirements, which is part of the reason that it was redesigned. Fun and Iconic is good but not necessarily at the cost of life.

-Personally I prefer the classic Mini (Mine is on the left of the photo above). It has a character and personality that I do not think any other car possesses, but although the new Mini is fat and not as cute at least Mini lives!
